Maureen Menard

Maureen Menard lives in Cape Town and has been involved with YWAM Discipleship Training Schools since 1982. She enjoys creating curriculum and leading people through formative processes. Maureen has an M.A. in New Testament Theology from Wheaton Graduate School. She currently is a Vice President of the U of N and founded the Centre for Christian Formation and Discipleship.

Vicki Corrington

Vicki Corrington is a professional certified coach and board certified coach with her M.Ed in counselling. She is a coach trainer on faculty with the Professional Christian Coaching Institute (PCCI). Vicki has a heart for missions and serves YWAM leaders. Vicki and her husband Ben live in Maine USA.

John Peachey

  John, and his wife Suzi, led a YWAM campus for 17 years and have lived in intentional community in the UK for 35 years. They mentor and train leaders in many nations. In 2020, John completed his PhD in education through the Oxford Centre for Mission Studies supervised by David I Smith, Professor of Teaching and Learning at Calvin College and Mark Pike, Professor of Education at Leeds University. John also has a postgraduate diploma in research methods. His research areas include virtue formation in missional communities and distinctively Christian higher education.

Becky Frith

Becky Frith is from Northern England and currently lives south of London. She is a worship leader and songwriter. Becky connects with the Centre through leading musical worship for many of our events, capturing key elements of these programs in the lyrics of her songs which allows participants to deepen their learning in the corporate setting.

Simone Weaver

Simone Weaver lives in South Africa, although originally from Australia. Simone and her husband Paul have spent the last 20 years teaching, training and discipling young adults through YWAM in the Netherlands and South Africa.

Greg Ruhland

Greg and his wife Jewel have been a part of YWAM for the past 20+ years. He has undergraduate degrees in both Finance and Agricultural Economics from the University of WI – Madison as well as a Master’s degree in Leadership from the University of the Nations. He lives in Madison, WI (USA) and has a passion to see people live with an ever-increasing connection to God, others and their world.

Paul Weaver

Paul lives in Cape Town, South Africa. He and his wife Simone have worked discipling young adults for the last 20 years in both Amsterdam and South Africa.

Leah Broomfield

  Leah Broomfield lives in the UK although originally from Canada.  Leah is a Bible teacher and YWAM/UofN school leader who spent the last 22 years helping churches and YWAM schools consider God’s Kingdom and the foundations for discipling nations. 

Dr. Steve Cochrane

  Dr. Steve Cochrane lives half the year in South Asia and half in the United States. He has spent over 30 years in India, starting YWAM’s first work there in 1982 in Kolkata. Steve has a certificate in spiritual direction training, and particularly wants to see the Centre be a catalyst for more spiritual direction in YWAM and the Body of Christ.

Dr. Camille Bishop

Dr. Camille Bishop has worked in Asia, South Pacific, Africa, and Europe and is currently based in the US. Her academic training and extensive experience are in the area of adult education and leadership. Camille offers her in-depth understanding of adult learning to the centre by helping us consider how those theories contribute to Christian Formation and Discipleship.

Holger Schein

  Holger Schein is from Germany, and has lived with his family in South Africa for the past 13 years.  He works in many areas of discipleship, including as a StrengthsFinder coach for individuals and teams. He loves working with people of all ages and nationalities to help them towards discovering their unique vocation in life.

Liam Byrnes

Liam Byrnes lives in South Africa although originally from the UK.  Liam and his wife have spent the last 8 years working in township environments in South Africa discovering the complexities of discipleship and church planting in a cross-cultural environment. 

Miranda Heathcote

  Miranda Heathcote is originally from the UK and now lives in Spain. Miranda and her husband, Tim, have spent the last 20 years training and supporting missionaries into Africa. Miranda works as a spiritual director to individuals and groups, and employs art-making and movement to deepen people’s experience of God.

Pam Drennan

  Pam Drennan lives in the U.S. and for over 30 years ran a counselling practise with a focus on trauma counselling. Her considerable experience and ongoing research contribute the insights of her discipline to the goal of the centre to understand Christian formation from a whole-person integrated perspective.

Patti Lee

Patti Lee now lives in South Africa and is originally from the USA. Patti has spent the last 40 years in the context of cross-cultural discipleship and leadership development. Having lived in Asia for many of those years, she continues with a focus on Asia in her current work of ministry.

Tanya Lyons

Tanya Lyons is a Canadian living in the UK. She enjoys reading books and talking about them as well as writing and teaching on topics related to discipleship, growth, and adult children of divorce.

Teresa Greer Drew

  Teresa Greer Drew is originally from the US.  She now lives with her husband and 2 children in England.  Through writing, teaching, one-on-ones, mentoring, counselling, leading small groups, coaching and spiritual direction, Teresa’s passion is helping people realize their full potential in Christ.

Tonya Stanfield

  Tonya Stanfield has lived in Cape Town for the past 12 of her 22 years in ministry. She and her husband have pioneered YWAM ministries focusing on counter-human trafficking as well as the dignity and promotion of marginalized groups. She’d like to see YWAM and the Church better equipped in the areas of spiritual crisis/faith transition and contemplative practices. 

Waleska Laranjeira

Waleska has a degree in psychology from Pernambuco’s Federal University in Brazil and has over twenty-four years of experience in full-time ministry. She works with career development, encouraging and inspiring people to pursue a meaningful relationship with Jesus as well as to walk in their unique callings and strengths. She co-leads YWAM BEYOND, a ministry that exists to equip, encourage and empower people that are called to influence society through their work and everyday lives. She lives in Kona, Hawaii.
